Some people are new to Search Engine Marketing. Here we will try to clarify some terms that you may be unfamiliar with. Also, we'll answer some frequently asked questions. If this section doesn't answer your question please feel free to call or email  us directly.
What is included in the set up fee?
Depending on the size of the campaign and the strategy of the client, there may be a set up fee involved. We usually build many Google ads with hundreds of "key words" or "key phrases" attached to each ad. This is labor intensive and sometimes requires a fee.

What is a "keyword" or "key phrase"?
The keywords you choose for a given Ad Group are used to target your ads to potential customers. An example of a keyword would be "real estate". An example of a key phrase would be "real estate agent buffalo NY".

What is an impression?
The "impression" located on our reporting statistics refers to the number of "impressions" for your ad. The number of impressions is the number of times an ad is displayed on Google or on sites or products in the Google Network.

What is a clickthrough?
A click (sometimes called a clickthrough) occurs when a user sees your ad and clicks on the title of your ad, leading them to your website.

What is "Competitive Analysis"?
When we consult with our client we determine who your competition is. We want to know what their website addresses are because we have tools that tell us what keywords they may be using. Therefore, we can add those keywords to your specific campaigns thus attracting more potential clients.

What are Google Ad Words anyway?
Google's advertising program based on cost-per-click pricing. Ads are usually found on the top and down the right side of a Google search page.

What is meant by keyword advertising?
This type of advertising uses keywords to trigger ads. Typically, advertisers select a set of keywords related to the product or service they wish to advertise. The ads are then displayed in relevant places based on those keywords. For example, Google matches advertiser-selected keywords to user search terms on Google.com in order to show relevant ads.

What is an Ad Budget?
An Ad Budget is the amount that you are willing to invest when customers click on your ads on Google. Usually one determines a monthly Ad Budget and then the administrator monitors the Daily Budget and bids on each of the keywords based on keyword performance.
